In some literatures, why is "mean ± SD" used to express a group of data after statistics? Or what does "mean ± SD" mean?

It's just a description of statistical results. It means mean value and standard deviation, with sign in the middle. It can give people a general understanding of the distribution of this variable. If a variable is normally distributed, knowing these two numbers, we can roughly imagine its "tall, short, fat and thin" distribution
