Plural rules of English words
1.1 rule changes of plural nouns
1. Generally speaking, add - s clear consonant and then read / S / map maps
Voiced consonants and vowels / Z / bag bags / car cars
2. End with s, SH, CH, X and add - es to read / iz / bus buses / watch watches
3. Read / iz / license licenses with - s at the end of CE, Se, Ze, etc
4. Change y to I at the end of consonant + y, and then add es to read / Z / Baby --- babies
1.2 rule changes of other plural nouns
1) When a proper noun ending in Y or a noun ending in vowel + y becomes plural, it will be plural by adding s

2) Nouns ending in O, when plural:
A. add s, such as: Photo --- photos piano --- piano
         radio---radios   zoo---zoos;
B. add es, such as: potato -- potato, tomato -- tomato
C. both methods a and B can be used, such as zero --- zeros / zeroes
3) When a noun ending in f or Fe becomes plural:
A. add s, such as: belief --- beliefs roof --- roof
         safe---safes  gulf---gulfs;
B. remove F, Fe and add ves, such as half --- halves
    knife---knives leaf---leaves  wolf---wolves
    wife---wives  life---lives  thief---thieves;
c. Both methods a and B can be used, such as Handkerchief: Handkerchief / handkerchieves
1.3 irregular changes in the plural of nouns
1) child---children  foot---feet  tooth---teeth
mouse---mice    man---men  woman---women 
Note: the plural form of a compound word composed of a word plus man or woman is also - men and - women, such as an English, two English. But German is not a compound word, so the plural form is Germany; Bowman is the surname, and the plural form is the bowmen

d. The plural titles of books, plays, newspapers and magazines can also be regarded as singular

5) It means two parts, such as glasses, trousers, clothes, etc. to express a specific number, we should use the quantifiers pair, suit, a pair of glasses, two pairs of trousers, etc
6) There are also some nouns whose plural sometimes means special things, such as: goods, waters, fish
