Every boy and every girl has a dictionary.這句話中的謂語動詞為什麼用單數形式？
由and連接的兩個名詞，如果不是表示同一事物，謂語動詞不是應該用複數嗎？

由and連接並列主語如果指的是同一人、同一事物或同一概念，謂語動詞用單數.例如：His teacher and friend is a beautiful girl.他的老師也是朋友是個漂亮的女孩.
由and連接的並列單數主語之前如果分別由each，every等修飾時，其謂語動詞要用單數形式.例如：Every boy and every girl has the right to receive education.每個男孩和女孩都有接受教育的權利.
