Roots of equations and zeros of functions Given the power of function f (x) = 3 to the power of X - the power of X... Ask if the equation f (x) = 0 has a real root in the interval [- 1,0]? Why? Some symbols can't be typed. Please give me a general solution,

Roots of equations and zeros of functions Given the power of function f (x) = 3 to the power of X - the power of X... Ask if the equation f (x) = 0 has a real root in the interval [- 1,0]? Why? Some symbols can't be typed. Please give me a general solution,

f(x)=3^x-x^2
f(-1)=1/3-1=-2/30
Because the function values are different at both ends, there must be real roots at [- 1,0]
