Be verb can be followed by adjective verb ing?
I always thought that:
Auxiliary verb followed by verb
Be verb followed by adjective
Only are can take the verb ing
Now I know that there are some mistakes, please correct them for me, by the way, the grammar of these, do not copy, thank you!

There are two verbs to be
1. One is a copula followed by a predicative
(1) I am a teacher
(2) You are here
(3) My father was in the factory last year
(4) Jim's mother is kind
2. One is an auxiliary verb followed by a notional verb
(5) I am talking
(6) You are listening to me
(7) They were planting trees in the park last Sunday
(8) Lucy is asked to give a lecture
(9) Trees were planted in the park last Sunday
The way to distinguish between the copula be and the auxiliary be: there is no other verb after the copula be, and there must be a notional verb after the auxiliary be. The function of the auxiliary be is to help the notional verbs form tense or voice
The auxiliary verbs be and ing in example (5) are just like the two clothes that the real verb talk wears. After putting on these two clothes, talk becomes the present continuous tense
The same is true for example (6)
In the same way, it is the past continuous tense
Example (8) after the notional verb ask is and ED (irregular verb is not ED), it becomes the passive voice, which is the passive voice of the general present tense
In the same way, it is the passive voice of the general past tense
You say that the verb be is followed by an adjective, which is incomplete
You say that only are can receive ing, which is not complete. See example (5) - Example (7)
You're right to say that auxiliary verbs are followed by verbs
A supplementary point: the auxiliary verbs are not only have (has) in the present perfect tense, had in the past perfect tense, shall and will in the general future tense, and would in the past future tense
I have finished my homework
He had done it before you came in
I will clean the blackboard later
Do is also an auxiliary verb when a positive sentence in the present tense becomes a negative or interrogative sentence
I like English
I don't like English
Do you like English
