Question:
1. There are four boxes of fruits. It is known that there are 42 apples, pears and oranges in each box on average. There are 36 pears, oranges and peaches in each box on average. There are 37 apples and pears in each box on average?
2. In a math test, the average score of the whole class is 91.2. There are 21 girls, 92 points on average, and 90.5 points on average for boys. How many boys are there in this class?
Answer: 1. 37 * 2 = 74 (pieces) 42 * 3-36 * 3 = 18 (pieces) (74-18) / 2 = 28 (pieces) 28 + 18 = 46 (pieces)
A: 46 apples in a box and 28 peaches in a box
2. (92-91.2) * 21 = 16.8 (points) 16.8 / (91.2-90.5) = 24 (persons)
A: there are 24 boys in this class
It's suggested to buy a Mathematical Olympiad book. So I won't talk about it here~
