Calculation formula of 220V 1kW current

Calculation formula of 220V 1kW current

Formula:
I=P/U/cosφ
Take 1kW incandescent lamp or electric heater as an example, its power factor cos φ = 1, current:
I=P/U/cosφ=1/0.22/1≈4.55(A)
Taking 1kW motor full load operation as an example, its power factor cos φ ≈ 0.85, current:
I=P/U/cosφ=1/0.22/0.85≈5.4(A)

What is the current of one kilowatt at 220 volts

According to: current I = power P / voltage U
The current of 220 v 1 kW is about 4.54 a
