40 * 25 * (16 - 12) = 4000 (cubic centimeter) use the difference of length * width * height = the volume of stone. It is no different from calculating volume. You can also use large volume to reduce volume: 40 * 25 * 16 = 16000 (cubic centimeter) 40 * 25 * 12 = 12000 (cubic centimeter) 16000 - 12000 = 4000
