A cuboid with a height of 40 cm and a cube at the bottom will increase its surface area by 80 square cm if it is increased by 5 cm. Calculate the surface area and volume of the original cuboid

Length = width = 80 ﹣ 4 ﹣ 5 = 4cm;
Volume = 4 × 4 × 40 = 640 cm3;
Surface area = 2 × (4 × 4 + 4 × 40 + 4 × 40) = 2 × 336 = 672 square centimeter;
