What's the logarithm 10log2^2n+10log3/2=6n+1.8 That's what it says in the book. I majored in communication, but this mathematical problem should not affect the solution What is the ratio of output signal to noise? Then: [S / DQ] DB = 10log3 / 2 (2 ^ 2n) = 10log2 ^ 2n + 10log3 / 2 = 6N + 1.8 [DB]

I guess your topic should be 10lg (2 ^ 2n) + 10lg (3 / 2)
Look up the table or calculator to get Lg3 = 0.48, LG2 = 0.3
So the original formula = 20nlg2 + 10 (lg3-lg2) = 6N + 1.8
