It's difficult (for me) to ask two math problems of function (1) The function f (x) = x2 + 1 is a decreasing function on (- ∞, 0) (2) The function f (x) = 1-1 / X is an increasing function on (- ∞, 0) Yes, it's proof

Prove by definition
(1) Let x 1, x 2 ∈ (- ∞, 0) and x 10
So f (x) decreases monotonically
(2) Same as (1)
Then f (x1) - f (x2) = 1 / X2 - 1 / X1 = (x1-x2) / (x1 * x2),
Since x1-x20, obviously f (x1) - f (x2)
