提問幾天了，還是一個回答，納悶.也許是覺得原文寫得不錯吧！不過，以相互探討為出發點，我還是表達一些建議：句子結構沒太大問題，但表達方式可以再改進，使文章更流暢.
某些用詞也有斟酌的餘地.如：
有或含有不一定是用had，可以用其他同義詞替代，使句子更生動.
Mastered the usage of GPS…..你是指掌握運用GPS或其使用技巧，而usage一般是指東西的用途、用法，所以換成application或use較合適.
至於skill，作為名詞，當然複數可以加s；不過，在a systematic geological skills training….，這個skill已不能當名詞加s，因為training才是名詞了；所以一樓的說法是對的.例子：information technologies可以有s，information technology industry就不能加s了.
只是一些淺見，僅供參考.
